To complete the austere Italianate architecture of this building in St Heliers Auckland, an established look was required that evoked images of Villa d'Este. Classical plant species of topiary Buxus, Juniperous and Michelia yunenensis enhanced the sumptuous theme.
The design layout relied heavily on the flow of levels, incorperating flights of steps from the formal entrance, down to the pool, then up again to the fire patio and water feature.
Imported Italian tiles, stone and hand made wrought iron fences and gates complete the authentic picture. |
